This year, for student/faculty safety, all of our Summer at Springs courses will be conducted online via Zoom. Guided by our talented Indian Springs faculty, courses will consist of a combination of synchronous and asynchronous work, and many will be aimed at readiness for the 2020–21 school year.
This course offers students a chance to fortify the mathematical analysis skills acquired in Precalculus in preparation for the Calculus course they will soon encounter. Students review basic function graphs, their fundamental characteristics, and the effects of transformations, combinations, and compositions applied to these basic functions. In addition, we focus on algebraic properties for exponents, logarithms, and trigonometric functions. The course also includes a review of graphical and algebraic limits that is typically an introductory topic for Calculus. Students should have the scientific or graphing calculator that they plan to use for their fall Calculus course.
