This year, for student/faculty safety, all of our Summer at Springs courses will be conducted online via Zoom. Guided by our talented Indian Springs faculty, courses will consist of a combination of synchronous and asynchronous work, and many will be aimed at readiness for the 2020–21 school year.
All students at Indian Springs undertake research projects at various points over the course of their time with the school. This course overviews humanities and social science research skills and methods and will be taught as a series of interactive workshops. Topics will include how to formulate a research question, how to optimize searches, and how to conduct a literature review. Students will be acquainted with personal project management and will workshop how to write effective research proposals. This course is open to anyone at Springs and is ideal for students interested in pursuing independent study options or applying for external funding for project proposals.
